Included are: five small Chinese Civil War propaganda posters from Jiangxi in the 1930s; a 1962 comic book adaptation of the movie about "The Five Heroes On Langya Mountain;" a 1969 university student's English notebook that contains dictation of stories about Mao Zedong and the Communists; a 1970 comic book adaptation of the movie "Tunnel Battle;" a 1970 children's book entitled "The Little Red Guard;" a 1972 children's book entitled "Two Grenades" about the Vietnam War; and a 1978 comic book adaptation of a movie about Dr. Norman Bethune.

Jeanne Severance Letters

This collection consists of letters from Jeanne Severance, a Red Cross volunteer, to Martha and Constance Greene from 1945 to 1946. Severance wrote from and reported on events in the many places she served, which included France, India, China, Myanmar, and Mexico. Several letters were censored by the United States Army. Also included are photographs of the Greenes in 1962 and some newspaper clippings. At the time, the Greenes had opened the office of Martha Greene real estate company on Long Island in Montauk, New York; there are several pictures of Martha in front of the original offices. The transcription of the letters is attached.

Robert Kerr Cloyd attended Carnegie Mellon University and Syracuse University. The Robert K. Cloyd Papers consist of the design work created for productions of the Salisbury State Theatre from 1972 to 1979 under the direction of Leland Starnes, as well as other designs that Cloyd created in the 1970s. Included are the designs from when the United States Department of State invited him to exhibit in a show of young American artists travelling in China as part of the cultural exchange programs involved in Ping Pong Diplomacy.
