Smith Island Cake Bill

In 2008, House Bill 315 designated Smith Island cake as Maryland’s state dessert with advocacy from Delegate D. Page Elmore, resident of Wicomico County. Today, Smith Island cakes come in a variety of flavors in addition to the signature yellow cake.
