Delmarva Archives Center (1982)

Delmarva Historical Archives Center (DHAC) at Salisbury State College was founded in 1982 by Dr. Ray Thompson and Mrs. Sylvia Bradley with a $500 grant from the Salisbury State College Foundation, to introduce students to a variety of history professions and specializations including museology, family history/genealogy, historical architecture, archival management, and preservation. The Center was housed in the Holloway Hall faculty offices of Dr. Thompson and Mrs. Bradley and included the first two large collections, Miles Family survey collection and Daughters of the American Revolution, Samuel Chase Chapter.
