Originally established in 1953 as the Salisbury Art League, the mission of the Art Institute and Gallery is to advance the visual arts in the mid-Delmarva region through exhibitions and art education to the general public. In 1984, this organization was created through a merger of the City Hall Museum board and the Wicomico Arts League. This collection contains 34 albums and scrapbooks of various shows, exhibits and newspaper PR produced by Eve Sweitlik of the Wicomico Arts League (now the Art Institute and Gallery).
