There is a certificate of authenticity for each photograph and a written letter of biographical information on Florence Wimbrow.
Folklife Collection - Salisbury's Changing Face

In 1978, former Salisbury University Student Faye Bounds collected folk material. For this project, the student chose to conduct a survey of the changes in Salisbury. Pictures from different time periods were gathered into a slide show to provide a better observation of these changes. This collection includes a total of 70 slides.

There is a separate notebook that is a copy of the Ford family genealogy that was presented to Robbie Wilmer Ford in August 1978. This is in addition to the other folders containing copies of birth and death certificates, scrapbooks, photos, newspaper clippings, family trees and military records.

French Merci Train Gifts

The French Merci Train gifts were sent on the French freighter Magellan inside 49 antique, narrow gauge boxcars for each of the United States (one split between Hawaii and District of Columbia) as gratitude for the American Friendship Train that toured the United States to raise $40 million worth of food and clothing for French people. In 1949, Mary Laura Francis was sent from the school, then called State Teachers College, to collect the gifts selected for Salisbury University.
