Michael Owen Bourne papers

This collection contains research notes, surveys, hand-drawn architectural drawings and photographs created by architectural historian Michael Owen Bourne for historic home restorations and renovations between 1960 and 2020. His projects were mainly on the Eastern Shore of Maryland, as well as Delaware, and Virginia. However, there are some materials from projects in St. Mary’s County, Maryland. The majority of the collection dates from 1968 to 2009 and the materials range from his time working for the Historical Maryland Trust (1967-1973 and 1995-2000), as well as his own company (1973-1995), and the Department of Architectural Research at Colonial Williamsburg Foundation (2000-2003). Bourne's architectural papers related to Kent County, Maryland are located at the Historical Society of Kent County (the Nabb Center collection includes papers for all projects located outside of Kent County, Maryland).

The Records of the Patricia R. Guerrieri Academic Commons contains blueprints, meeting notes, newspaper articles, and various correspondences surrounding the construction of the Patricia R. Guerrieri Academic Commons that range from 1998 to 2016. Plans for a new library began in 2006 with a Library Program Part I that outlined the goals of what the new library should accomplish and then finally in 2016, ten years later, the Patricia R. Guerrieri Academic Commons opened its doors to Salisbury University students and staff. The records include information on the design process and the various meetings through the construction from 2014 to 2016. The collection is mainly centered around the various design and construction blueprints, but also includes design catalogs, emails discussing safety measures for the building, and price bids.

The Richard Hoffman Collection contains documents that reflect the time Dr. Richard Hoffman spent at Salisbury University from 1993 to 2019. He was professor of management for over 25 years and interim dean of Perdue School of Business for three years. During his time as interim dean, he oversaw the addition of a museum to the Perdue School. He gathered a small library of scholarly journals on business, management, and marketing. He also led a winter study abroad program that went to France, England, and Germany. There are photo albums documenting the study abroad trips from 1995 to 2003. Other materials in this collection are a plaque of outstanding research from Perdue School, CDs documenting the Perdue School museum and a study abroad trip, and blueprints for the Perdue School and museum built in 2011.
