Text Henry Miles and Thomas Tull, apparaisers report on lands of Thomas Walston, orphan in care of Peggy Walston, guardian. There is 2/3rd of negro woman Cloe belonging to said orphan and proper to be leased with said land. The land in the woods is 85 acres and there are one framed two story dwelling house 18 feet sq. in good repair, one hewed pine log house covered wit h pine pland one story high 16 x 14 feet in good repair, one sawed log kitchen one story high 17 feet by 15 ft 6 inches in good repair, one round pine log stable 14 feet by 9 feet in very bad repair, one old sawed log meat house 8 feet sq. in very bad repair, one framed milk house 5 by 4 feet in midling good repair, one apple orchard of 31 living trees very indifferent, one paled garden 50 ft sq. in bad repair, two fields enclosed in midling repair. Estimate of value of land and houses and 2/3's negro for one year is 14 pounds current money.

Winder, their guardian. 3 Aug 1805 appraisers report that the following negroes belong to said orphans to be leased with said lands: Ben, Sharper, Shadrach, Littleton, Elisha, Robin, Simon, Glasgo, Littleton, Denwood, Nelson, John, Stephen, Kiah, Jesse, Eli, Handy, Hamilton, Stephen, Beck, Tamer, Milley, Esther, Ben, Leah, Nancy, Casa, Lizey, Eve, Caleb, Nancy, Ebby, Betty, Nancy, Sarah, Milcha, Patt, Michael, Lucy, Mary, Israel, Stephen, Leah, Isaiah, Hetty, Henry, Jacob, Amos, Levin, Pacy, Abigail, Sabra, Lib, Sall, Zipporah, George, Lambert, Finder, Moses, Milvin, Patience, Juda, the annual value of which is 234 pounds. There is at Princess Anne at 2 story frame house 30 ft by 20 ft called the new store in good repair, annual value 30 pounds; at Princess Anne one other store shouse 30 by 20 feet in indifferent repair, 1 granary 42 by 20 feet, one dwelling house now occupied by Mrs. Denwood 16 by 16 feet, 1 kitchen 16 by 16 feet, 13 pannels of pailes all bad repair, annual value 12 pounds 10 shillings; at Princess Anne one dwelling house now occupied by Mrs. Cowan 24 by 18 feet, 1 side shed 8, one wing 20 by 15 feet in indifferent repair, annual value 30 pounds. On the north side of the Branch Plantation 1 dwelling house 20 by 16 feet with one side and end shed in indifferent repair, 1 old kitchen very bad, one smoak house bad, 1 lumber house bad, 1 milk house indifferent repair, 1 olf Quarter bad, 1 barn 32 by 20 feet, 1 side shed good, 1 side shed 32 by 20 feet, 2 side sheds good, 1 old born house, 12,000 panel fence 6 logs 1650 pannells 8 logs to the pannel, 140 apple trees annual value 140 pounds, 1/3 to be cultivated in Indian corn annually. That there is on the south side of the Branch 1 new dwelling house not compleated, one negro house 16 by 16 feet, 1 negro house 16 by 16 feet very bad, 1 old born house, 1 old barn 2400 pannels fence 7 logs to the pannel, 150 apple trees to be cultivated in Indian corn annually, value 75 pounds. There is on the old dwelling place 1 brick dwelling house in indifferent repair, 1 kitchen bad, 1 lumber house bad, 1 large quarter good, one large bard good, 12 pannels railing around the graveyard 213 pannels fence 7 logs to the pannel, 300 apple trees, 500 peach trees, value 37 pounds 10 shillings. There is on the place Your Roach lives 1 old house very indifferent & 350 pannels fence, annual value 7 pounds 10 shillings and it is our opinion that none of the Tobacco Lotts should be cultivated in Indian corn. Total annual value of lands aforesaid, including negroes to be 616 poiuns 10 shillings.

Text Orphans Court appoints John Jones (of Benjamin) and John McClester, appraisers to view and report on the real estate of George Jones, orphan, in care of Robert Jones his guardian. 13 Dec 1804 appraisers report that there is 33 acres of land, about 3 acres of which is cleared, the rest in woods and that there are 5 negroes, Caleb, Abraham,Philip, Sarh and Matilda, the annual value of the land to be $10 and slave to be $108. There is one house 16 by 14 feet much out of repair and 200 pannels of fence but indifferent.

Text Orphans Court appoints John Dashiell Sr. and Levin Jones Sr. appraisers to view and report on the real estte of James Jones, orphan, in the care of George Jones (of Robt), his guardian. 10 Feb 1806 apparisers report that from information from the guardian there is neither workbeasts, farming utensils or stock of any kind on the plantation belonging to the orphan; there is one old dwelling house 45 feet by 16 with a stack of brick chimneys not worth repairing, one other dwelling house 22 by 18 a brick gable end with an addition of 10 feet added to the other end, in tolerbly good repair, one old kitchet 18 by 18 with a brick gable end good for nothing, one old Quarter 24 by 16 with an inside chimney of brick, run up since the last valuation, one milk house of pine frame and cover in tolerable good repair, one good corn house 18 by 7 feet, one old smoak house, two milk houses, one old lumber house 20 by 20, one other old house good for nothing, a small garden, 175 old apple trees, many of them on the decline 31 young apple trees, 160 old peach trees on the decline and 70 young peach trees, 9 cherry trees and one pare tree and that the enclosure are in as good repair as can be expected from the scarcety of timber belonging to the plantation. It is further reported that negroes owned are Rose, aged 65 year, Nicey, aged 26, Hannah age 5 Spencer 6 months, Ephraim 38 years, Leah 9 years and 25 or 30 acres of woodland.

Text Orphans Court appoints John Landreth and Thomas Pollitt appraisers to report on the real estate of Henrietta Dams, orphan in the care of John Morris, her guardian. 28 Jan 1806. Appraisers report that there is one negro man named Joseph and a negro woman named Milly with three children belonging to the orphan and proper to be leased with the land; a dwelling house with two rooms and a corn house quarter or kitchen and a smoak house, a very indiffererent apple orchard, 120 acres of cleared land and 100 acres of woodland, annual value, including slaves to be L27.10.

Wit: Charle Jones. 30 Nov 1805 appraisers report that there are 2/3s of two negroes Elice and Violet belonging to the said orphans, valued at L14 and on the said lands one dwelling house 25 by 20 with two rooms and two brick chimneys covered and weatherboarded with pine plank in sorry repair, one old kitchen very sorry, one old milk house sorry, one logd meat house 14 by 12 covered with shingles i ngood repair one logd barn 20 by 16 covered with shingles with a small shed at the end in good repair, two small logged cornhouses in sorry repair, one hen house sorry, one small garden sorry, 130 very small apple trees, 54 old apple tres, 400 peach tres, a few small cherry trees and quince, a few plum trees, 250 pannels of good fence, 1000 pannels sorry fence, 150 acres of land in which 2/3 to be assessed to the said orphans. There is about 70 acres of said land in cultivation, about 55 acres in woods and about 40 acres inmarsh, the estimated value of said lands to be L20 per year.

Said lands in woods is about 1/4 in estimation and value of the land, including slaves $142.10.
