Lynn Pritchard's Horoscope Readings Journal

This large journal was kept by Lynn Pritchard of Grand Rapids, Michigan between 1909 and 1947. Pritchard, who was a photographer, traveled through Wisconsin, Canada, Kentucky, and other areas and read people's horoscopes. The readings are comprised of two pages: the horoscope chart with symbolic annotation and the "Data of Nativity" where information about the "principal" was recorded. The first reading was of Pritchard and was performed by Dr. Charles Patterson, an allopathic doctor, and also includes newspaper clippings about Pritchard's family.

This journal is a record of the Magdalen Club, later named the Swastika Club, which was a group of young girls from Coupeville, Washington in 1907 and 1908. The journal includes names of the club members, descriptions of the duties of club officers, minutes of meetings, and yells and cheers, as well as two photographs of the girls.

The Memoirs and Personal Collections of Anastacio T. Menor was begun in 1934 and continued until at least 1980. The journal consists of collected writings from notable authors, philosophers, politicians, and religious works, in addition to original writing by Anastacio Menor that is often signed with A.T. Menor. While much of Menor's writing concerns finding happiness, some of it is whimsical and less philosophical. He often wrote or collected writings about the relationship of men and women. There are also sections with shorthand translations, serial numbers from $100 bills, and a few newspaper clippings.

The Michael Schaefer Papers consist of a ledger that documents the Washington, D.C. chapter of the Knights of Columbus from 1911 to 1916 and reports and minutes from the American Federation of Government Employees that date between 1937 and 1939. Schaefer was a member and president of the District of Columbia chapter of the Knights of Columbus and became president of the American Federation of Government Employees. The Knights of Columbus ledger includes communications from local Catholic organizations, information about sponsored events, and minutes from meetings. The chapter was composed almost entirely of Irish-Americans. The American Federation of Government Employees files contain registries of employees and their department, minutes, reports, and bylaws of the organization.

The Old School Baptist Church records consist of manuscript materials and periodicals documenting the faith and practices of the Old School Baptist Churches on the Delmarva Peninsula from 1701-2013, with the bulk of the records dating from 1875 to 1999. The collection includes meeting minutes of the Forest Grove, Little Creek, Broad Creek, Salisbury, Rewastico, Nassaongo, Snow Hill, Rock Springs, Indiantown, and Pitts Creek Old School Baptist Churches from 1799-2013. The collection also includes a complete run of Signs of the Times, the journal of the Old School Baptist faith, from 1875-1969.

Religious Journal of James Caldwell

This religious journal was written in the 1830s by James Caldwell of Buckskin Township, Ohio and served as both a diary and journal for writing published religious texts. The journal contains diary entries about sin and God from the writer's perspective, but the majority of the entries are commentaries on sin, repentance, the blood of Christ, Satan, and the death of God's enemies. The journal is hand sewn and pages are completely filled, sometimes with writing sideways and reverse, and some of the pages are recycled from other uses. Caldwell was an immigrant from Ireland, fought in the War of 1812, and was an early founder and school teacher in Buckskin Township.
