This collection contains the minutes of the Washington Temperance Society in Fitzwilliam, New Hampshire between 1842 and 1854. Meetings, which included both men and women, were held at various locations throughout town and consisted of an opening prayer, addresses and remarks, lectures, and singing of hymns and temperance songs. The minutes also include resolutions passed to fight alcohol locally and discussions about using "moral suasion" and "legal suasion" to keep tavern keepers dry.

The Y.W.C.A. Collection (New Castle, Pennsylvania) consists of records and ephemera related to the activities and governance of the New Castle, Pennsylvania chapter of the Young Women’s Christian Association primarily between 1907 and 1950, though some documents date as early as 1888 and others as late as 1963. Documents include minutes from the Board of Directors and various committees, scrapbooks that chronicled the chapter’s activities, notices and flyers from events hosted by the New Castle Y.W.C.A, materials about Camp Eastbrook, and memorabilia from different clubs within the chapter. The collection also includes some materials related to the New Castle Y.M.C.A, especially in regards to the building that was sold from the Y.M.C.A to the Y.W.C.A in 1913.

These reports, recorded by the Secretary of the Young Women's Christian Association (Y.W.C.A.) of Grand Rapids, Michigan, document the organization's efforts to involve working women in their activities. Members visited local factories in order to distribute the organization's circulars and invitations to Y.W.C.A. sponsored events. The reports include the names and dates of the factories visited, titles of talks given, number in attendance, and general remarks about the women and their conditions. The transcription is attached.
