Oversize reproduction of the Bureau of Fisheries of the Middle Atlantic States Statistical Bulletin No. 184, produced in 1904 by the Bureau of Fisheries, Department of Commerce and Labor. Statistics include those for states of Delaware, Maryland, and Virginia, as well as the items utilized by the fisheries and the products produced. Also printed on the bottom of the statistical bulletin is a supplementary table showing certain of the above products in number and bushels.

Freedom Ainsworth papers

The Freedom Ainsworth papers document the restoration and preservation efforts of three of the Manokin Historic District’s oldest structures Beckford Manor, Almodington and More And Case It (also known as Holly Hurst), located in Princess Anne, Md. The materials date from 1766-1767, 1803-1999 with the bulk of the material dating from the purchase and restoration of the three structures, 1967-1994. Restoration activities, as well as property histories, are documented via correspondence, detailed measurements and notes, architectural drawings, and photographs. Also documented through a series of ledgers are the accounting transactions of Henry Smith Lankford and H. Fillmore Lankford as well as various merchants from Somerset Count including Teackle Dennis and Teackle.

Jay Mason Photograph Collection

The Jay Mason Photograph collection contains prints, negatives, contact sheets, and some slides taken by Mason between 1973 and 1978 primarily in Worcester County, Maryland. Mason's work appeared in the Tidewater Times and subjects of photographs included many waterways and watermen, people in portrait and working, historic buildings and structures, roads and roadsides, and landscape and nature scenes. While some prints include descriptions of the subjects, additional descriptions can be found in the mounted photographs.

Ledger of Shipping Merchant Robert Peacock

The ledger of shipping merchant, Robert Peacock documents the merchant voyages he invested in as well as the goods he traded and sold at his store in Oxford, Maryland, 1766-1778. Peacock had a pension for luxury wares including silver pieces, silk stockings, fabrics, wine, and rum; as noted in the ledger on multiple occasions, Peacock dealt in the trade of human cargo. On page 19, Peacock signs his own name, beneath the credit balance. At the back of the ledger are 29 pages of handwritten notations on the life of George Washington, from John Marshall's, "The Life of George Washington".

Ledger of the Crisfield Customs House
