The records details correspondence with Margaret and the Maryland Department of Transportation regarding the trunk line and Bay Bridge expansion from 1951-1999, with the bulk of the material dating from 1976-1999 wherein Margaret was left with little ability to sell the estate.

The William Leonard Collection consists of an 1862 Civil War diary of Col. William J. Leonard, who commanded the Purnell Legion. There is also William Leonard's last will and testament enclosed within this collection. There is also an 1877 map of his home, and a photograph of him and his wife, Isabella Leonard. The Diary has been transcribed while the last will and testament is in the original writing.
