Family Bible Collection

Bibles donated to the Nabb Center, whether singly or as part of a larger collection, have been integrated into this collection. A variety of print editions spanning from 18th Century to 20th century are represented, as well as various religious denominations and types of Bibles. Most of the Bibles contain hand-written notations of family history – including births, deaths, marriages and baptisms-- for several surnames beyond the title. Some may contain additional clippings or other items and some Bibles do not contain any family information. Family Bibles held by the Nabb Center and not included in this collection are also referred to in the inventory. A partial transcription of the family history pages is available upon request (full transcription will be made available online soon).

Ford - Roberts Family History Collection

This collection contains a variety of family records and detailed genealogical records that trace the family roots of the Ford/Roberts families. There is a separate notebook that is a copy of the Ford family genealogy that was presented to Robbie Wilmer Ford in August 1978. This is in addition to the other folders containing copies of birth and death certificates, scrapbooks, photos, newspaper clippings, family trees and military records.

This collection consists of correspondence, scrapbooks, photographs, and journals of the Dixon, White and Pieper Families of Pocomoke City, Maryland. Beginning in the mid-19th century, extensive personal correspondence between family members chronicles a broad family history over 100 years. Family bibles and photographs capture births, marriages and deaths of the Dixon and White families of Pocomoke City as well as life on the Eastern Shore in the late 19th and early 20th century.

Nancy Graham Papers

Also included are several photographs of Elmer Langrall Graham and Nancy Covington Graham.

The Tull and White Families papers include an extensive volume of personal and professional materials including photographs and graphic advertisements from the 1820s to the 1980s. Of particular interest are large amounts of correspondence, popular advertisements, and photographs. The correspondence documents contemporary social and political thought on the Eastern Shore from a variety of perspectives. The collection also includes some materials which do not pertain directly to the family and include genealogical information, photographs, receipts, and correspondence.
