Abstract Justices of the Peace bind Elias Stevens, born 2 February 1814, to Elias Hopkins, farmer (Elias Stevens, a free coloured boy, son of Nancy Hicks; his mother having abandoned 7 years since and removed to Philadelphia and his father, a slave, having been transported; and said Elias Hopkins having raised, supported & maintained the boy from infancy).
