Michael Lucas has this day manumitted a Negro man called Thomas Penny in consideration whereof the said Lucas has received the sum of $120 - 1/2 payable on this day and the remaining 1/2 payable on the 1st of January 1802 and this is to certify that on this day Lucas has received from Henry Rhodes for the use of the said Thomas Penny $60 being so much of the above mentioned as was this day due. |
