Description

This publication, compiled by Bessie E. Gunter, maybe the first
known cookbook on the Eastern Shore of Virginia. Bessie lived
in Accomack County and many of the recipes come from women with common Eastern Shore names like Nottingham, Bayly, Custis, Kellam, and Fosque, but she gathered recipes from women all over Virginia and Maryland.
