This small collection is comprised of two photograph albums, loose photographs, newspaper clippings, and miscellaneous papers; most of which is assumed the prior property of Dona Faulkner (1875-1955). The items that comprise the collection were purchased at an auction selling items on consignment. Of the two albums, only one is attributed to Faulkner. Faulkner was a resident of Bozman, Maryland in the County of Talbot for the span of her life.

Dona Faulkner, (1896-1972), was born to Levin D. and Mary E. Hunt in St. Michaels, Talbot County, Maryland. She married William J. Faulkner, an oysterman. 

Series I: Photograph Albums

Series II: Faulkner Papers, This series contains the funeral booklet provided by the Norman D. Marshall Funeral Home which contains a list of individuals who attended her funeral on April 23, 1955. Also includes a letter from the attorney William Reddie of Easton, Md. regarding funeral expenses and a brief historical sketch of the Bozman Methodist Church (1804-1950).

Series III: Faulkner Newspaper Clippings, Contains clippings about the following events: T. Earl Cooper’s entry into the race for (Talbot) County Commissioner on the Democratic ticket (includes brief bio), the drowning of two boys, Harry C. Appel and Maurice T. Small at Ebb Point near St. Michaels, and a picture of Edith May Thompson Woodill, the victim of a Talbot county murder. Also contains two articles unrelated to local history: the cover of the January 18th , 1953 issue of The American Weekly which had the Eisenhower's on the cover and a newspaper clipping from the Baltimore Sun from Wednesday, November 9, 1938 about the death of Mrs. W. Mason Shehan and the injury of her son W. Mason Shehan, Jr. in an automobile accident.

Series IV: Faulkner Photographs, Photographs of unidentified individuals, most of which appear to date between 1890 and 1940. Series contains two small tintypes. Larger photographs within the collection were developed by studios in Baltimore.
