Abstract

The collection consists of a 1933 program from Vienna High School, Vienna, Maryland; a 1936 and a 1965 program from Cambridge High School, Cambridge, Maryland; a 1955 program from Salem Methodist Church, Salem, Maryland, and a 1944 guidebook from Salisbury, Maryland, advertising businesses and listing residents serving in the military during World War II.

Biographical History

Jerome Gordon Bisker was born on February 16, 1915 in Baltimore, Maryland. He graduated from Vienna High School in 1933 and married Clara Bradley in 1940. He served in the US Army during World War II, and was assigned to the 582nd Signal Air Warning Battalion, seeing action in North Africa, Italy and France. Bisker worked as a postal carrier for 26 years and retired in 1980. He died in Salisbury, Maryland on September 25, 1999. 

Clara Bradley Bisker was born in Finchville, Maryland in 1919. She graduated from Cambridge High School in 1936 and was employed as a trimmer by the Manhattan Shirt Company.
