This collection consists of assorted local paper ephemera from 1852 to 1990. Most of the items originated from the George Bounds & Company of Hebron, the J. H. Farlow & Brother of Salisbury and the Wimbrow & Company of Whaleyville and William and Edwin Sirman. Included are cannery tokens from the Harold B. Kennerly & Son in Nanticoke, Maryland. Also included are over 925 postcards of Salisbury from the 19th to the 21st century arranged by subject.
This collection was assembled by Jim Jackson, a history enthusiast.

Included is a correspondence between a young Ernest and his mother, in which his mother shares her concerns for her son’s future at university.
Included is a correspondence between James Laws and Ernest Burbage, in which Laws discusses options for a payment plan for an order Burbage placed in 1903.

Included are two letters from The Pennsylvania Railroad in Cape Charles Virginia addressed to R. E. Wimbrow discussing Wimbrow’s desire to lease land in Whaleyville, Maryland and other business relations in 1949.
Included is a letter from 1939 from the Pennsylvania Railroad Delmarva Division addressed to the Train Master and other high-profile train employees discussing pamphlets from the New York World’s Fair to increase rail travel.

Included is one leather glasses case from T. Barton Freeney Jeweler and Optometrist.
Included is a letter from 1915 from F. G. Elliot Hardware advertising their opening day and the products they carry.
Included is an invoice from Dashiell Hardware Company from 1967. Also included is a monthly catalog from Calloway Hardware Company from 1942.
Included is a doctor’s note from Dr. S. Howard Lynch from 1948.
Included is a business card from West View Poultry Farm advertising their upcoming poultry variety.

Included is a Souvenir Program from the Delmar Centennial in 1959 that details events at the celebration. Also included is a program for the 100th club celebration of the Delmar Kiwanis Club for the Charter Night from 1950.
Included is a newspaper clipping of a photograph of State St. Between MD and DE of the First Methodist Church and the Mt. Olive Church.
Included are four invoices from S. N. Culver Men’s Shop- three addressed to R. E. Wimbrow in 1950, 1952, and 1956 and one addressed to Mr. Jewell.
Included is a doctor’s invoice from Dr. James Brayshaw for Edwin Sirman for services in 1920. Also included are two invoices for the purchase of goods addressed to Edwin Sirman-one from 1915, the other from 1922. There are also two checks from The First National Bank of Delmar, DE intending to pay Edwin Sirman, dated 1910 and 1914. Also included are a few utility bills addressed to Sirman and various invoices from businesses in Delmar. Along with this collection, there is a freight bill invoice from The United States Railroad Administration for an order shipped to Delmar in 1919.
Included is a registration list from 1911, as well as 1913, which highlights names added, erased, and refused in the Delmar district

Included is a correspondence between Edwin Turnbull, an attorney, and W.L. Sirman in which Turnbull responds to Sirman’s accusations against Mr. Hastings by prompting a potential lawsuit in 1905.

Included is a letter from Boyce Brokers for Fruit and Grain addressed to the Wimbrow Company to promote the former’s business of marketing and protecting local tomato growers. Also included is a letter addressed to Edwin Wimbrow from Consolidated Industries in which the latter discusses some troubles and business transactions between the two companies.
Included are three pamphlets from the Dover Floral Company intended to advertise.

Included is a tax notice on Eaton’s properties. Also included is a letter from Esquire Bailey from 1898 warning Eaton about his overdue balance on his estate.
