Stanley J. Rabold was born in August 1, 1908 in Tennessee or Kentucky (differing among some records) to Katherine and Ira D. Rabold. He attended college for two years and worked in the production of industrial chemicals. He enlisted in the Army on August 29, 1942 and was stationed at Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia. He served in the Pacific theater during the Second World War. After the war, he founded the Rabold Brokerage Company in Nashville, Tennessee. He later married Jeanette Wade on February 23, 1974. Rabold died in January 1988.
