Joe Long was an American athlete, soldier, railroad worker, and politician born in 1921 in Delmar, Maryland. The Joe Long collection contains material compiled by Joe Long and his wife Mabel, who acted his campaign manager during campaigns. Materials included are newspapers, government bills, speeches, cards, letters, books, scrapbooks, and photographs compiled and saved by the Longs since the late 1930's.

The Records of the City of Salisbury City Clerk include 12 ledgers containing the city's charter, ordinances, and meeting minutes from 1869 to 1987. The collection also contains loose ordinances passed from 1890 to 1960 and loose meeting minutes that document City Hall activities from 1924 to 1952. Until 1924, the records were handwritten; from 1924 to 1987, records are typescript. Also included in these records is the 1932 Bicentennial Celebration's signature register. Includes records from M-216 #3 and #4.
