This collection is from the City of Salisbury Field Operations, and it contains a number of documents dealing with different aspects of Salisbury's construction and building plans throughout the 20th and 21st centuries. Included are five city directories, appraisal reports for the Franklin Hotel, West Main & Lake streets, construction plans for buildings around the city (including City Hall), and documents and images showing city planning and construction in Salisbury throughout the 20th century.

The Records of the City of Salisbury City Clerk include 12 ledgers containing the city's charter, ordinances, and meeting minutes from 1869 to 2010. The collection also contains loose ordinances passed from 1890 to 2019 and loose meeting minutes that document City Hall activities from 1924 to 1952. Until 1924, the records were handwritten; from 1924 to 2010, records are typescript. From 2010 to present, records are born-digital. Also included in these records is the 1932 Bicentennial Celebration's signature register. Includes records from M-216 #3 and #4.

This collection consists of approximately 10,000 plans, maps, drawings, and other oversize documents from the City of Salisbury's Department of Field Operations and, prior to its inclusion in the Field Ops department, the Department of Public Works. While the record dates range from approximately 1890 to 2020, the majority of the collection dates between 1920 and 1980. Included are property surveys, utility maps and plans, water works materials, and other infrastructure-related documents used to build, maintain, and alter structures and properties in the City of Salisbury. Notably included are 1988 aerial photographs of the city (contact prints and negatives), project progress photographs, and microfiche reproductions of many of the oversize items.
