This source was derived from two volumes of Maryland in the World War 1917-1919, published by the Maryland War Records Commission in 1933. Records include veterans of the First World War who were denoted as "colored" and were either living or born in one of the Eastern Shore counties. Abbreviations are used within the records and a key can be found on page 251 of volume 1 (located in the Nabb Center at D 570.85.M3 A4 1933).
