Black Individuals Mentioned in Will Negro men George & Levin to be hired out to those of their own choosing & the money from their hire to be applied to Joseph's education. Negro Edmund, son of Grace, to be hired out & money from his hire applied to Joseph's education. Negro Ann to be hired out for 5 years and money applied to Joseph's education & then she is to be free, and for each of the years of her hire she is to receive $3.00 from the money she earns. Each of the above bequests concerning the hire of Negroes and moneys applied to his support are to be free from the responsibilities imposed on the brother William C. Sudler by his father's last will and testament. After completion of Joseph's education all Negroes that were hired out are to be free and paid the sum of $5.00.
