Abstract Slaves to be divided among 4 children. Alfred to have negroes Peggy born 8/7/1846, Henry born 7/11/1848. Mary Matilda to have negroes Caroline born 10/12/1842, John Thomas born 9/2/1847. Sarah Elisa to have negroes Alexander born 10/5/1844 and Agnettee born 9/12/1849. William to have negroes James Aaron born 2/1/1846, Rose born 5/9/1850. Each to be set free when they turn 35 years old. Negro women Harriet and Emily to be set free at 35 also (service to wife, then to his children after her death). Harriet to be set free on 1/23/1858 and Emily to be set free on 8/23/1860. Negroes Jake born 11/16/1852, Josephine in May 1851 (no day given) along with any others not named or born after to be divided equally in service to my children. No negroes to pass to my grandchildren now living.
