Abstract Codicil to will 9/2/1845: Man Bill shall continue until 1/1 after my death in order to serve a minimum of 1 year to benefit my wife (Sarah). Woman Sarah to continue to serve for the benefit of my wife 2 entire years after my death. My wife shall pay bill and Sarah $10 each. Negro woman Julia Ann shall serve till 1/1/1865. Having manumitted Jacob and Edwin at certain times it is not intended to interfere with rights of my sister Catharine to whom the said boy belongs during her life but at her death to be free should she live beyond the period mentioned.
