Abstract of Record Indenture between Gabriel Elzy and Writta Elzy, his wife, on the first part and Aaron Bradshaw on the second part. The Elzys have bound their son, Dennis Elzey to Bradshaw. as apprentice. Dennis is 12 y & 8 mos. old on 3 May 1847. To learn trade of farming; at end of term to receive two suits of wearing apparel, one suitable for Sundays and the other for working days. [ Note, this record does not state race of family, but there is a Dennis Elsey in the 1850 census, age 16, black this is likely same person]
