Assorted Information Act for election of commissioners 10 persons living in or within 3 miles & possessed of landed prop in town inown right or right of wife of value of $100 to be elected by ballot of free white males over 21 on 2nd Monday in March 1813. Voters – lived in town 1 yr and had prop of value of $30. commissioners to be divided into 5 classes by lot, 2 each for 1,2,3,4 &5 yrs. Tow elected each yr after 1813/ To meet 1st Monday in every third month or oftener as required. commissioners were to recommend plans for: 1) Removal of nuisances, 2) Prevention of geese & swine running at large 3) Recommend plans & regs for health, convenience & cleanliness of the inhabitants (if majority of people agree); 4) Repair streets, 5) Appoint a clerk, 6) Assess prop & 7) Levy taxes, 8) Desperse gatherings of slaves, apt bailiff annually on 1st Monday in May
