| Transaction Abstract | Free Nego boy 8 yo in Orphans' Court 1 Nov 1859 and represented to Court that he is not at service or learning a trade or employed in the service of his parents and so is without means sufficient for maintenance. Therefore on 1 Jun 1859 he is bound as apprentice by Justices of the Court to Job W. Beckwith until John Human is 21 yo. Beckwith is to teach him the art of husbandry or farming and to supply him with clothing & maintenance during apprenticeship. When free to give him $25 & 2 suits of clothing as freedom due. Also in lieu of education to give him $25 as freedom dues. Signed 30 Jun 1859. |
