| Transaction Abstract | James Hughes Sr, colored man, being indebted to Caleb Shepherd, a judgment ordered by Justice of the Peace for $31.11 on 11 Jan last. Lloyd Harris, colored man, hath superceeded the judgment together with James Hughes for 12 months from its date and made himself responsible for its payment & to indemnify Lloyd from loss. Therefore, he sells to Harris yoke of work steers. If debt paid by 11 Jan next, this shall be void. Signed 25 Feb 1858. |
