Transaction Abstract | In virtue of Act of General Assembly passed December 1839 "An Act to provide for the better regulation of the free Negroe & Mulattoe Children within this state", the Orphans Court summoned free coloured girl Elizabeth Farrow 10 yo on 1 Sep present year, who is without father & mother & without means of support. Justices of Orphan Court apprentice her to learn house wifery until age 16 to John Willis who is to provide her with things customary for apprentices and $20 when term is completed. Signed 20 Oct 1851. |
