Entered Princess Anne Academy in 1897 7 graduated valedictorian of her class of 14. Principal of Chestertown, Md public school in 1898. Entered Morgan College in Baltimore in 1900 & graduated in 1905. Sang soprano for traveling troupe. Joined faculty of Princess Anne Academy. Rev. Kiah were sent by Delaware Conference to St. Michaels, Md as their first home. Then Rev. Kiah became Principal of Princess Anne Academy; she taught Latin. Attended Metropolitan Methodist Episcopal Church in Princess Anne, Md. under ministry of her father |
| Family and Other Information | Parents: Rev. G T. & Malinda Townsend (1 of several children) Spouse: Rev. Thomas H. Kiah, young pastor in Delaware Conference md 6/27/1906 in Baltimore City. Five boys: Brewington, Lycurgus, Waldo, Gregory & Randolph and daughter Rodelia. All survive her, as does her father. |
