Employed by Freedmans Bureau as school teacher, taught first colored school in Caroline County. Rev. Holland & Sarah joined Delaware Conference in 1866. After death of husband, her son John R. Holland entered ministry & joined Delaware Conference; she lived with son & followed him & wife in the ministry for 20 yrs.
Family and Other Information Parents: Eliza & Thomas Matthias Watkins (she was 3rd daughter). Spouse: Rev. John H. Holland of Md western shore - married 1850. Two sons & 2 daughters survived her.
