Church Service, Charges Served, Affiliated Locations, and Other Biographical Information Received most of education from children of Daniel Fields, with whom he lived in Federalsburg until 21 yo. Joined Methodist Episcopal church when small boy, started preaching when about 16 y & licensed as local preacher at 17 y - during days of KKK & was arrested & threatened for doing so. Charges: Fairmount, Md., Bridgeton & Ghoshen; Salem, N.J.; Zoar, Philadelphia Pa.. Then transferred to Newark Conference & several charges. Then back to Delaware Confernce: Easton, Md., Have, Philadelphia, Pa., Centreville, Md; Still Pont, Md; Odessa, De; Middleton DE;; Jamestown, Md.; Germantown, Pa.; Magnolia, N.J.; Smyrna, De. Retired in 1902 but served in St. Pauls, Philadelphia, Pa; St. Michaels, Md; Watchaprague, Va; Conference Evangelist & retired again in 1907.
Family and Other Information Parents: Ennals & Julia Dickerson Spouse: First union they had 4 children: Edward O. , Oliver P.; James M.; Alberta Dickerson Barrett. Oliver P & James M. are ministers in Delaware Conference. 3rd wife: Maggie C. Davis of Richmond, Va survives him. They had 4 children: Wm Mckinley, Lillian R. Johnson, Howard A. & Willis C., Jr. - 3 predeceased him.
