Church Service, Charges Served, Affiliated Locations, and Other Biographical Information He was bound to Joseph Handsom where he served as farm hand until 21/22 yo. Served some time on man-o-warship in U. S. service. Converted when small boy & joined Mount Zion Methodist Episcopal Church near Port Penn, Del. Early days of Conference joined Old Zoar M. E. Church. Entered Centennary Biblical Institute (Morgan College) in 1874. Later attended Drew Theological Seminary. Appointments: Bridgeton, John Wesley (now Calvary), Germanstown, Mount Zion Barclay and Summervile.
Family and Other Information Parents may have been free. He never married.
