Abstract To son John Bayne my Messongo lands…& slaves Old Rose, Leah and her children (Robin, Hannah, Agnes, Mariah) & George son of Sarah. To daughter Betsy Bayne slaves Kiah, a man now in Norfolk, or should he be sold the proceeds of the sale, woman Fanny, boy Arthur, girl Harriet, man Stephen. To son Walter D. Bayne... & slaves Shadrack, Peter, Minty & Rose daughter of Sarah & children & future children... . To son Colmore S. Bayne slaves Gatty and her future children and her children Harry, Levi & Meyer & man Isaac & $400. I set free at the end of the year slaves Jacob, Elijiah,Parker & Sarah. Remainder [of slaves] to be to 4 children should all die before 21 then to his nieces Peggy Custis & Sally Custis, except slaves which are to be set free at the end of the year that the last of my four children die.
