Abstract I set free my two house servants Bill & Becky as a testimony of my regard for them. & I enjoin them to live with my wife & children. Ask that those two remain in the Commonwealth of Va. They will add to our Free Negro population. Bill has a slave for his wife & Becky will never have any children. I prefer that my Negroes shall be kept together on my estate rather than be hired out, .... I direct my clothes to my Negroes.
