Abstract Whereas it appears by affidavits that the title of the slaves which Joseph Smulling dyed possessed of belonging to the children of John Cox except the third part thereof which third amount agreeable to Inventory of Appraisment to forty one pounds six shillings and eight pence and on the afsd. affidavits the Commissary has taken the two thirds of the said slaves out of Joseph Smullings estate and is now agreed that our of the slaves "Jon" and "Lish" who are appraised to Sixty pounds the said the third part to be made out of them as a consideration of the natural affection which we have and do bear unto our Mother do give unto her for and during her natural life the overplus of the said Negroes after deducting the thirds as afsd. and alo do give her one Negro girl called "Bassheba" and her future increase.
