Abstract Severn Teackle to Thos. Hughlett, Collector of Taxes - makes oath that he removed from Virginia in Feb. 1790 with the following slaves: Abel, b. 5 July 1774; Isaac, 75 yrs old; Molly, b. in Sept. 1780; Rachel, b. 1784; Peter, b. 1786 - all inhabitants of Virginia 3 years prior to importation. Under an Act of Assembly passed in April 1783 to prohibit the buying of slaves in this state.
