Scope and Content Note
NCOH-0007_00001: This interview was conducted by Donald Ward with Kendal Jones on March 26, 2018. Kendal Jones describes his upbrining in the Lowes Crossroads community of Southern Sussex County, Delaware. Topics discussed include the 1933 Laurel Flood, the Burnt Swamp fire in the 1930's, the makeup of Laurel in the early 20th Century including Truitt's Country store and others, and Carey's United Methodist Camp.
NCOH-0007_00002: This interview was conducted by Donald Ward with Ralp Elliot on April 16, 2018. Ralph Elliot shares his memories of his upbringing in Georgetown, Sussex County, Delware. He describes life on his family's farm in the early 1930s, school life, and other miscellaneous topics.
NCOH-0007_00003: This interview was conducted by Donald Ward with James Baxter Jr. on April 19, 2018. James Baxter shares his memories of his upbringing and later life in Georgetown, Delaware. He describes his life with his family in the early 1930s, school life, farming, life at the University of Delaware, the poultry industry, and his growing business in the area.
NCOH-0007_00004-0005: This interview was conducted by Creseton Long with Austin short on June 5, 2018. In this interview, Austin Short describes his upbringing in Southern Delaware and his affiliation with the timber industry in the area and its affiliation with Salisbury.
NCOH-0007_00006: This interview was conducted by Donald Ward with Kendal Jones in March, 2019. In this interview, Kendal Jones continues his stories from the previous interview, adding more information to his accounts on the previous topics.

In the interview, Margaret Jones describes her upbringing in Piney Neck, Delaware, near Millsboro. In the interview, Norris Godwin shares his memories of the poultry and pork business during the mid-20th Century, describing the practices, methods, and downfall of small-time farmers in the area and the rise of large corporations.
