These oral histories document the history and legacy of Riverton, MD; an area just north of Mardela Springs. Subjects range from the development of the area, town life, the town at its peak in the mid-1900's, and the changes that have occurred since then.

Riverton is a small community north of Mardela Springs sitting on the southern shore of the Nanticoke River. At one point, it was a small town with numerous mills in the surrounding area. According to interviews, it is now a small rural neighborhood surrounded by urban sprawl.

NCOH-0003_00001: This interview was conducted by Tyler Fink and Benjamin Weneke with Robert Bradley on April 6, 2017. This interview is a continuation of a previous interview with Robert Bradley on Riverton. He describes some social clubs in Riverton, church life, and his time in Alaska. 

NCOH-0003_00002: This interview was conducted by Tyler Fink and Logan Poore with Robert Bradley on March 21, 2017. This is the first of two interviews with Robert Bradley on Riverton. In this interview, Robert Bradley discusses the history of Riverton, some of the businesses that used to exist in the area, and the community makeup of the town during his lifetime.

NCOH-0003_00003: This interview was conducted by Justin Robey and Savannah Flood with Michael Brown on March 16, 2017. In this interview, Michael Brown shares his memories of his upbringing and life in Riverton, including his experience with a haunted house, the changes in the community since he was young, and the state of his relationship with Riverton.
