Abstract

The journal of Wilder W. Perry was used while he was teaching at Dark Harbor Seminary in Islesboro, Maine (starting Dec. 2, 1867) and Lincolnville Beach (starting Dec. 21, 1868).

Scope and Content Note

This collection contains the teacher’s journal of Wilder W. Perry, used while he was teaching at Dark Harbor Seminary in Islesboro, Maine (starting Dec. 2, 1867) and Lincolnville Beach (starting Dec. 21, 1868). The journal contains a list of students along with their ages and a tally of absences. There are many quotations and passages transcribed in the journal that may have been part of Wilder’s lesson plans.
