Abstract

16 mm film and digitized copy featuring many different views of Salisbury, Maryland from 1935 including St. Peter's, Wicomico Presbyterian, Trinity and Asbury Churches; Wicomico High School, Maryland State Teachers College, Tuberculosis Sanatorium, Peninsula General Hospital and the John B. Parsons home.

Administrative History

Salisbury Maryland, founded in 1732 and incorporated in 1854, is the largest city on the Eastern Shore of Maryland (pop. 31,243 – 2012 census results) and the county seat of Wicomico County. Salisbury is located at the head of the Wicomico River, the navigable waterway that leads to the Chesapeake Bay.
