Abstract

The International Clippings scrapbook documents the happenings on a global scale prior to the breakout of World War II, 1938-1940. Documented events and people include King George VI and Queen Elizabeth; the Rape of Nanjing and Japanese troops in China; Franklin D. Roosevelt's defense plans; the rise of the Nazi party; and Hollywood entertainers including Roy Rogers and Orson Wells.
