Abstract

Hobert D. Adams papers consist of land surveys and descriptions as well as proposals, maps, and permits for Adams’s property located in Fishing Creek, Maryland. The materials also contain a series of records related to Adams’s vehicle accidents. The materials date from 1963-1992 with the bulk date from 1973-1978.

Biographical History

Hobert D. Adams (1917-2004) was a native of Dorchester County, Maryland.  He owned property in Fishing Creek, and Cambridge, Maryland.  Adams served in the United States Army, Company C, 1st Maryland Infantry, during World War II, the Korean Conflict, and Vietnam.  He retired from the Army with the rank of Lieutenant Colonel.  He was also a member of Post 88, 29th Division Association in Cambridge, Maryland.
