Sepia-toned stereoscopic cards depicting images of World War I soldiers on the front lines and in the trenches also included is an image of Georges Clemenceau, Woodrow Wilson and Lloyd George leaving the palace of Versailles after the signing of the peace treaty, 1918; other cards depict a man and woman having a humorous time with an early 1900s laundry system. The cards were produced by the Keystone View Company and Berry, Kelley and Chadwick.

Stereoscopy (also called stereoscopics) is a technique for creating or enhancing the illusion of depth in an image by means of stereopsis for binocular vision. The word stereoscopy derives from Greek meaning "firm, solid", and s??p?? (skopeo), meaning "to look, to see". Any stereoscopic image is called a stereogram. Originally, stereogram referred to a pair of stereo images which could be viewed using a stereoscope.
