Abstract

The papers of Fred T. Bradley document the activities of his family members, including his Uncle Milton Bradley’s active service in World War I, a copy of Florence Bradley’s passport, and his father’s obituary. Political memorabilia include a ticket stub from the 1912 Democratic National Convention and a fob from the McKinley-Hobart Presidential campaign of 1896. Also included is a copy of the Kangaroo Komplete Kompound brochure circa 1892, a type of farmer’s manure almanac.

Biographical History

Fred Thomas Bradley (1915-1997), born to J. Wilson Bradley (1891-1969) and Florence E. Bradley (1896-1988), he grew up in Riverton and lived in Mardela Springs. He was married to Annie J. Bradley (1919-2002) in 1943 and was the nephew of Milton Bradley. Bradley was a buildings contractor and a member of the International Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners. He was also a member of Riverton United Methodist Church and of the International Order of Odd Fellows Lodge 33 in Federalsburg.
