This collection consists of land records, correspondence, and maps related to land transactions in Worcester and Wicomico Counties, Maryland. The documents are from multiple families and individuals from 1684 to 1933. There are few personal sources, most are legal documents and land transaction records. The family names with the most records in the collection are Parker, Davis, Dixon, and Hearn who all owned properties in the same district in what is today northern Wicomico County. The land records show transactions in Worcester County and what later become Wicomico County after 1867, specifically the northern portion of the Parsons District.

John Parker (1756-1838) made a number of land transactions from 1792 to his death in 1838, with some in conjunction with his son Elisha P. Parker. Their ancestor, Jacob Parker, recieved a colonial land patent in 1684. Their properties occupied the north-eastern area of Parsons District of Worcester, later Wicomico, County. Joshua L. Davis, another resident of the district, did business in Baltimore and Salisbury as reflected in the records from 1868-1886.

The collection is organized into a single series, with each folder organized by the name of the individual or family. The earliest document is a land patent from 1684. Most of the records are from the early 1800s to the 1870s. The bulk of the collection consists of land transactions, correspondence, and receipts for the Parker, Davis, Hearn, Watson, Trader, Parson, Hearn, Hayman, and Gordy families in northern Worcester, later to become Wicomico County, Maryland. The collection contains land and general business exchanges as well as plats and maps of the parcels. These families were neighbors in the Parsons District of Worcester and Wicomico County, and the documents reflect their business dealings.
