Abstract

The Willis family history collection contains, and organized family history of the Willis family line formed in 1980. Though can be dated back to the 1800s. The collection includes an outline of the family descendants, spouses, marriage dates, birth dates, children’s names, and other vital information. A majority of the records are children of Edgar Prettyman Willis and their descendants, though all records are a direct line to William E. Willis or George Noble Tarburton.

Biographical History

This collection documents the Willis family line who primarily lived in Wicomico County, Maryland and Butler, Pennsylvania.This collection is based around the descendants of William E. Willis and George Noble Tarburton.

Scope and Content Note

The Willis family collection consists of documents of the Willis family line. The collection states the family was designated on the east coast, though could mainly be located in Wicomico County, Maryland and Butler, Pennsylvania. The records provide details of the family’s ancestry line and gives specific details on birth and death dates, children’s names, spouses, addresses, and other key attributes to this family. This collection was formed in the 1980s, but documents range in birth years from August 1858 to November 1987.
