The Records of the Delta Gamma Fraternity document the history of the organization at Salisbury State University, now Salisbury University, from 1990-2005. Included in the records are manuals, budgets, pledge materials, initiation requirements, release from the fraternity forms, reports, catalogs for merchandise, rules and procedures, songs, and other administrative files. Also included in the collection is a scrapbook from 1996-1998 from one of the Delta Gamma sisters and two pledge pins.

Built on a foundation of fostering high ideals of friendship, promoting educational and cultural interests, a true sense of social responsibility and developing the best qualities of character, Delta Gamma Fraternity is a women's organization with more than 230,000 initiated members.

Founded in 1873, in Oxford, Mississippi, by three young women, the letters Delta and Gamma were chosen to represent "Do Good." It remains the motto of the Fraternity and a reminder each day of the promises we made to our sisterhood.

Our philanthropies, Service for Sight: Aid to the Blind and Joining forces benefit the visually impaired by funding schools for the visually impaired, research and prevention, and support for service men and women who have suffered from vision loss.  Locally, we raise money for our foundation through various evens including Anchor Splash and Anchor Slam.  We are proud to say that we are one of the top fundraising chapters on campus and donate over $15,000 annually to our foundation.  However, we don't stop living our motto with just our foundation.  Every day our members "Do Good" by volunteering at a local assisted living facility, walking dogs for the humane society, and volunteering to help clean up on campus and around the town of Salisbury.
