Abstract

The Mary Catherine Burlin Collection documents Catherine Burlin's experiences as a graduate from Maryland State Normal School in 1930. Included in the collection is a photograph from a newspaper, a graduation souvenir book, a booklet with well-wishes from fellow students, Burlin's diploma and the Alumni News Letter from May 1954.

Mary Catherine Burlin graduated from Maryland State Normal School in 1930.

Scope and Content Note

The Mary Catherine Burlin Collection documents Catherine Burlin's experiences as a graduate from Maryland State Normal School in 1930. Included in the collection is a photograph from a newspaper of Burlin with other students who acted as officials at the annual Girls' Midwinter Carnival. Pictured in the photo are Helen L. Jamart, Betty Holloway, Ruth Gretzinger, Vivian Marriner, Helen Robinson, Catherine Burlin, Anna Bonner, Martha Conner, and Ruth Scott.  In addition, there is a graduation souvenir book, a booklet with well-wishes from fellow students, Burlin's diploma and the Alumni News Letter from May 1954.
